Daniel,
Thank you for your reply. In fact I'm using Sea Monkey (2.26.1)
mailer on Macs (OS 10.9.4) iMac and Air, which I should have made
clear. I got the same overload error message on both, at different
times.
This makes me wonder whether you're using an account on a server that
has a quota set for your account. For example, mail accounts on cPanel
shared hosting default to having a 250MB quota. If you're using an
IMAP account and your server is near/at its quota limit, you may be
seeing messages being sent to you from the server rather than
experiencing problems with SeaMonkey itself.
So, I'd check whether your mail account has a quota limit and, if so,
whether you can get it increased. Alternatively, you can move your
folder structure from the IMAP account to Local Folders. (If that is,
in fact, the issue.)
He said "not enough disk space to download SM mail" So the download
target is his pc - and the quota is on his pc, not on his mailbox at the
server.
The fact that she has seen the same error on two different systems makes
that unlikely.
