The fact that she has seen the same error on two different systems makes
that unlikely.

The fact that she has plenty of disk space also indicates the error
message itself is erroneous. I've seen lots of programs over the years
claim there was insufficient memory or disk space for some operation
when there was obviously more than enough. The problem lies elsewhere,
and the program is misdirecting the troubleshooters.

Sorry I can't tell you what the real problem is. But I'm very sure
it's not insufficient disk space; that's a lie. Perhaps a reboot will
help?

He said also "In fact I'm using Sea Monkey (2.26.1) mailer on Macs ..."
So the problem is in SM ?

Can't say, could be the OS feeding SM bad info.
