This was happening to me about a month ago. My POP3 email comes through
'orange'. At the height, about 90 emails which i had already received, were
arriving again every time Seamonkey checked for new mail, so i had hundreds of
'unread' emails. Not every email kept coming back: a few, mostly from personal
friends, only arrived once. I thought the problem might be at Orange's server,
and, like Geoff Welsh, i started going to orange's website and deleting them
there. That didn't cure it immediately, but the problem faded away over the
next few days, and hasn't recurred. Jake Williams
