and if you look closely, you'll see the text layout is the same. HTH
That's how HTML mimic a plain text delimiting signature - SM and
perhaps also other mail-client did not see this as a valid délimiter.
Because a valid delimiter is a line containing only "-- " followed by
the CRLF pair which ends the line.
It strips the signature when I Reply to a Content-Type: multipart/mixed
email, but not for "Edit as New" and "Forward".
It doesn't work when composing to a Content-Type: text/html email, or
plain-text email. For me, it's an enigma, more than an annoyance.
