it sounds like you may have it installed...but also not sure since you
can't see what it is.
so here's how to access your extensions (addons):
open a tab, or use an existing tab, type in about:addons in the url bar,
then press enter
...that will give you access to your extensions and you can see what's
installed...even though you can't access it via the tools menu, same
thing that happened to me, so this is the manual route.
now go to the bottom on that window, on the right hand side, look for
settings (hint: it's the little wheel), and then select 'view recent
updates'
...and that will tell you what SM may have updated, if anything,
recently regarding any of your extensions.
now look for the 'open with' extension, if installed, disable it. or, if
you don't have 'open with' installed, see what extensions were recently
updated and disable the ones from the last few days, or at least the
ones since you previously had SM running w/ no problems.
once you do that, restart SM and try again to load a previous session
for me, once i disabled the updated 'open with' extension all is well
again. i haven't looked into what the issue is with the update,
probably look into it this weekend, i just wanted to get SM up and
running again and that worked for me.

I don't recall installing it but I do notice that if I click on "View" I
do have a lot of "Open With..." entries at the bottom.
I also found that I have another undiscovered problem. I can not open
the Add-ons Manager under "Tools". When I click on it nothing happens.
This has never happened before. "Ctrl+Shift+A" does not work either.
One thing that I remember is that when I woke the computer from
"Hibernate" this morning I got a pop-up that I closed without paying
much attention to because I was in a hurry. It referred to updating
something about "Open" and I figured that it was a nag that would pop up
again at a more opportune time but it never has.

by chance, are you using 'open with' extension at all? the reason i
ask, i was having the same issue as you're describing, however when i
disabled that extension i was able to recover from it.
if not, check if SM updated any other extensions with your latest
reboot, and that may lead you to your problem.
i hope that helps.

I always have had SM set to "Restore Previous Session" at startup. A few
times recently it completely lost the previous session information for
some reason. Beginning today, SM starts with the same number of tabs as
the previous session contained, but they are all marked "Untitled".
Reloading tabs just loads blank ones again.
It is not my antivirus or firewall (Norton) causing this. I disabled it
with the same result. Once SM is started tabs open normally from links,
bookmarks, etc. Also, if I click on "Home" my home group of pages as set
under "Preferences" opens.
If I set SM to open with my chosen home group and close and reopen it,
it starts with the chosen group, but if I click to "Save the previous
session" when closing SM, it will again restart with blank (Untitled)
tabs.
I tried restarting my computer but it made no difference. I also tried
reinstalling SM, but it also made no difference.
Thanks for any assistance.
