I've seen several sort of oblique mentions here of the lack of
development of SM. Also, haven't seen an update in a while. So, I'm
beginning to feel that I'm nearing the point where I cannot any longer
stick with SM.

Kind of sad since I've been with it since Netscape back in, about, 1995.
I don't have any aversion to "an end of an era" but it would be nice
to get some definitive info on what the few remaining SM devs are doing
or have in mind.

Thoughts?
Well, new builds were supposed to be released end of June but that
date has come and gone. A few contrib builds has been built locally on
someone's machine
(https://blog.seamonkey-project.org/2015/06/16/first-win32-seamonkey-2-35-nightly-build-available/)

but we're all still waiting for a build server to be online and the
old build setup to be migrated. It's allegedly happening but very,
very, very slowly.

I think that users are more interested in solving unresolved bugs from
years and years then expecting design changes.

I would agree! Why does everyone think that a new version should come out every month or two? I use several software programs and they all have name like Software 2015 and Softwarex 2015 and so-forth. A new version come out every year and these people are getting paid for it. Now the SM devs are volunteering their own time and we thing they should get it out quicker. I say take your time get it right the first time, and spend some time with your friends and family. I will stay with SM for the long haul. I have been with Netscape since Netscape Navigator 1, I am still here.
