I have an interesting issue. It seems like some e-mail clients (e.g.,
Outlook) don't know
what to do with attached e-mails inside the e-mails. I usually attach
a sent e-mail into
my new e-mail to send. Is this by design or a bug in SeaMonkey v2.33.1
and/or ThunderBird?

How can I have it behave like Outlook when I can attach an e-mail in
another e-mail?

Just tried this and it works fine. My default is inline.
Sent several embedded / attached messages with text and graphics to the MS
outlook exchange server then to the laptops. MS sees the embedments as
.eml files
and can open, save, etc, one at a time or in groups.
And vice-versa, sent several messages from outlook exchange to this SM
POP machine
that runs ATT email. SM sees them as .eml attachments and can open,
etc., etc.

Interesting. I also view attachments as inlined too in my SM. I attached your
newsgroup
post as an attachment (drag and drop into "Attachments" box area in my
newsgroup post. It
doesn't attach as an *.eml file like forwarding as an attachment. :/

It looks like the newsgroup attachment is displayed as a text file if there is
no .eml ending. Sounds normal though. NG files are either txt or html.
If I save your attachment and add .eml to the end it opens correctly in both
outlook and SM as an email attachment.
