The tech told me up front that she had little knowledge or experience with SeaMonkey or Thunderbird. After a number of small Account Setting changes in the Thunderbird Account Settings...followed each time by a failed attempt to send a message, she decided to change the the User Name from my e-mail address ([email protected] (not my real e-mail address) to just frog (deleting @verizon.net). Another test message was sent and it worked. She then made the same change to my SeaMonkey Account Settings and it now works.
Sorry, but isn't that what I told you? Username sans the "@verizon.net"?
