I have been able to do the work around using the Gmail smtp with
the imap
settings.
No, this is not a work-around .... Your way of sending mail is that the
"From:" variable is your gmail-adress and NOT your wow-adress.

You may test this by sending me a mail ....
My from address is the wow address. The reply to address is my gmail
address. This is true on my laptop and desktop. On my wifes laptop,
she only has the wow address so that both the From and the reply to
would be the wow address

Your email arrived with an @gmail.com From: address. Even if SeaMonkey is configured to send with a different From: address, and that's how it looks in your Sent folder, I've found before that GMail's SMTP server replaces it with the GMail address you use to authenticate with the server.

Mark.
