Aurora CPU hog?

Trying to see how to get more involved with SeaMonkey, so I started 
using an Aurora build.  It seems to be an outrageous CPU hog vs the last 
stable common release.  Is that normal?

SeaMonkey, version 2.42a2

Steadily, > 100% CPU use when just have two simple tabs open?
