I got it to play with WebM, Flash, and H.264 turned off. Perhaps SM2.46
has something that turned them back on (I used prefbar to turn them
off). Hold on and I'll go check in SM2.40 on WinXP...
From here (WinXP SM2.40) I also get a blank black screen (even with
Flash turned on).

OK and thanks. Hopefully, it is just a v2.40 issue with its outdated
HTML5 stuff. :)
Works on this computer (linux 2.40) with everything turned off (Flash
WebM H.264). However, I did have to toggle 'media.autoplay.enabled' to
'true' in about:config to get it to actually play properly.
I enabled it and retried my v2.40. Same missing video error. :(
For some reason I'm not able to get SM2.46 to install on WinXP at the
moment, it just seems to try and die - I'll let you know when I do.
It must be a bug. ;)
