I got the 'can't play' warning when I brought SM2.45 back up - in
about:config I enabled 'media.mediasource.webm.enabled;true', cleared
cookies, cache/all and tried again and it worked. Give that a try in 2.40.
That still didn't work. I even tried a new SM v2.40 profile. :(
