Most .sqlite files (which are actually databases) are likely important. They include not only cookies (which you might not want) but also your bookmarks, information on extensions you installed, and permissions you have granted or prohibited. The problem with .sqlite databases is that, when entries are removed, the spaces for the removed entries remain. Also, Mozilla in its "wisdom" (??) causes some .sqlite databases to be initialized for more entries than are necessary. You might try SpeedyFox from <http://www.crystalidea.com/speedyfox>. This application removes empty spaces and otherwise cleans up .sqlite databases. It works not only for SeaMonkey but also for Firefox, Thunderbird, Skype, and any other application that uses the SQLite database application. To use SpeedyFox after you install it, select SpeedyFox from its menu bar and add the various profiles you want cleaned. -- David E. Ross The Crimea is Putin's Sudetenland.
