2.49.1 is currently being build but we ran into a problem with Lightning. The
first candidate builds should work but Lightning 5.4 can not be installed If
you do it is is broken. Fix is in the works but delays the version a bit
unfortunately:

The tinderbox builds use a slightly different source set but should work too
and include Lightning:

If you try one please backup your profile. The OSX startup and mail crashes

I tested 2.48 including mail in 10.12.6 and it worked for me so not everyone
seems to be affected. If you are still on 10.11.x or lower you should be

I waited until today to try the 2.48 for Mac, but I confirm it crashes as soon
as you open the Mail window.
In the "known issues" page
(https://www.seamonkey-project.org/releases/seamonkey2.48/#new) it's written
this happens with macOS 10.12 but I'm using El Capitan (OS X 10.11.6) and it
crashes.
I had to reinstall SM 2.46
