In Thunderbird 52 a new behavior was introduced for replies to mailing
list posts: "When replying to a mailing list, reply will be sent to
address in From header ignoring Reply-to header". A new preference
mail.override_list_reply_to allows to restore the previous behavior.
I did, as you'll see if you read my last message, two hours before yours:

1) I've subscribed to listservs for decades, but only noticed this
behavior in the past week (since installing 2.49.1). The bug says it
goes back to 2016.
2) The fix says the new key mail.override_list_reply_to in about:config
fixes the bug, and when I toggled it to "false" it did indeed work. Thanks.
I still think it should work correctly out of the box; how many end
users are going to figure this out? More than one percent? The easiest
way is to make "false" the default.

BTW, you seem to be the only one here who top-posts, against the list
convention.
