How'd you manage that? AFAIK mail files are stored in the profile
folder. I have about 5 GB of them, and they're all in my profile folder.
Most people treat a computer like a washing machine; turn it on, do what
is obvious. That is, they stick with the defaults, which you have done.
Be brave, poke at it a bit. I did my current setup in early Netscape.
No one showed me anything, I just poked around "under the covers".
I have explained it here several times. Once you get the profile out of
the app, and the mail out of the profile, you can then place and name
all of the sub-directories as you chose. And you can have as many
profiles as you wish. I have one that allows me to read existing mail
but does not download any new mail. And yes you need to understand
sub-directories and files.
You could also save emails as .eml files and put them into a separate
directory anywhere.
