I closed SeaMonkey. Opened it using old profile. Did a Tools->Backup to a clean directory and closed SeaMonkey.

I opened SeaMonkey using the new profile. I did a Tools->Restore using the file just created.

I received a vague error message but but a spot check of bookmark contents showed no errors. The Bookmark Manager displayed two panes.
