Stop using Internet Explorer. No, really - I mean it. There are at this moment three separate ways the owners of a website can hack into your computer, installing SPAM relays or other trojans, and effectively to whatever they want with your computer and network. There are no spyware-removal program, anti virus programs or firewalls that will protect you from this - all that's needed is that you visit their site (which can be accomplished using some URL-obfuscating in emails tricking you into thinking you're going to another site altogether) Download Opera or Mozilla Firebird, and get a better web browser while also removing the huge security hole that Internet Explorer is. No need to move to Linux, as others have suggested, just upgrade your browser: http://www.opera.com/download http://www.mozilla.org/products/firebird/download/ (... and if ANYONE on this list is still using Outlook or Outlook Express, switch immideately. I do assume Freenet users would be interested in personal privacy ... right?) No debate regarding this on the list, I can of course back up my statements - in private Email. regards, Troed ------------------------------------------------- This mail sent through IMP: http://horde.org/imp/ _______________________________________________ Support mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://news.gmane.org/gmane.network.freenet.support
