All I mean by this is that I keep a hard folder in my file cabinet into
which I put membership/payment info, address changes, etc., anything I
manually enter into ebase (plus notes about importing, etc.) so that I
can re-create all the changes I've made between back-ups. Most of my
data is entered from hard copy, so I just keep that material on file
where I know to look for it. Then, after my next backup, I can get rid
of the old info or file it elsewhere.

Despite my preaching to groups I've worked with, I don't back up every
day (I sometimes back up only every few weeks). This is in part
because on my system it takes a little while to do, and also because my
primary responsibilities are actually issue related and I try to keep my
membership/database activities to a minimum. I DON'T RECOMMEND DOING
THIS (do as I say, not as I do!). If you back-up each day at the end of
the day, this practice is less important.
