Legacy data is the usual term for information in fields being 
imported into ebase. I think what was meant in the previous message 
is that they made sure all the data in the file being imported 
conformed with the list. If there were values in the fields that 
aren't on the list it is impossible to find them since you can't 
enter any values not on the list into search criteria.
