The difficulty you're having is with the format of the source file.
FileMaker expects a file with a separation between the fields, such
as Comma Separated Values, Tab-Delimited, one of the basic
spreadsheet or database files such as SYLK or DBF, or a binary Excel
file. You don't say what the source is, but you're going to have to
get that file into a format that FileMaker will recognize.
