Are you using 4 or 5? 5 should give you at least some of the look and feel
of eBase, though I haven't actually looked and seen.
You might want to try custom web publishing instead of instant web
publishing. FM5 still supports CDML tags that were explicit in 4, and I
think you can still get Claris Home Page to talk to FM5 to build the pages.
However CHP itself is no longer supported by Filemaker.
There's a learning curve involved with CDML, but it gives you more control
over what fields appear, and where.
If you have 4, look at the custom web page solution examples included with
the install - notably the Knitting Factory Store solution.
