In addition to comments about tracking your modifications to ebase,
ebase v.2 will be very different from v.1 and you won't be able to
back-engineer it to fit v.1 (that is, implement it in v.1). It is a
complete re-build. Having said that, if you upgrade to v.2, you may
find that ebase has already added the functionality that you need.
Track your modifications and then, when its available, give v.2 a trial
run by importing your data. Be sure to import any new raw data fields
you've added so you don't lose any data - either into fields you create
in v.2 or into container fields provided in v.2.
