If I understand correctly: You have 2 names records for the same person with each record for that person having one or more payment entries. I can't think of a fast and painless way to do this so here's my slow advice: 1st) I'd suggest you skim the ebase manual to get the general drift of how it works 2nd) Use the duplicate check in the Admin tab to find all the dups and print a list of them 3rd) Figure out which record you want to be the primary and which the secondary, i.e. the one whose payment records get moved. 4th) This is the tricky bit: moving the payments to the primary name record. Depending on how many you have you could just use the payment report button and get a print-out of the seconarys, then hand enter for each primary record the secondary's payment info off the print-out. I hope this helps some. I have just taken over this job at this organization. So I am still new to all of this. What I am trying to do is we have a lot of members who have some payments on one record and some payments on the other record. and I need to go through and combine them so that all the payments are on one record. Does that make any sense? and I don't want to go ahead and do this until I really know what I am doing.------------------ Reminder to each recipient: To change your list account preferences, go to http://email.sparklist.com/scripts/lyris.pl?enter=support and enter the email address you used to subscribe to the ebase support list:: [email protected] To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] --------------------------------------------------------------------- ebase - Relationship Management for Nonprofits, http://www.ebase.org --------------------------------------------------------------------- |
