Title: [support] Re: Transfering Records
Sorry I was not detailed enough.  I have just taken over this job at this organization. So I am still new to all of this.  What I am trying to do is we have a lot of members who have some payments on one record and some payments on the other record. and I need to go through and combine them so that all the payments are on one record.  Does that make any sense? and I don't want to go ahead and do this until I really know what I am doing.

There is an easy way to do this, actually, that is built into ebase.

On the Admin Screen 2 there is a button named Transfer Transactions. The function of this button is exactly as you describe, to transfer all the related records, i.e. payments, actions, notes, contacts, to another record.

Click the Transfer Transactions button and you are jumped to a screen where you can select the record to transfer FROM and TO. Then click the yellow Tranfer button to transfer the records.

One you transfer someone's payments and all their information to another record, are they still going to be in ebase, or will ebase automatically delete them?

ebase does not automatically delete the FROM record. You'll need to do that - find the record and click the blue Delete button on the home screen or data entry screen. Be sure to select the Current Record option.
