The problem here is the interaction between the ebase runtime 
solution and FileMaker's trial version. That is, they don't. The full 
version of FMP 5.5 has no trouble running the ebase file set.

I don't believe the issue is the 5.5 version. I heard similar issues 
before the release of 5.5. Maybe one of the developer crew can chime 
in with details. You should know that in any case the functionality 
of ebase, buttons and scripts, will not work through Web Companion. 
In the cases I know about, the administrator has been looking for 
display and modification of a limited set of data. They created a new 
FileMaker file, related it to files in the ebase file set, and 
displayed that file using Web Companion.
