I generally recommend *against* inserting hard returns into a text box, 
unless it's for something like an inside address where you definitely want 
a line break.  It's a fairly simple matter to resize the text box after 
you've entered your text (as I laid out in a posting yesterday).  The text 
will wrap just as if it were a word-processor.  Once you've inserted the 
hard returns, it seems that you wind up deleting an reinserting them ad 
nauseum whenever you start to edit the text, or change the font, or change 
the width of the letter.

Which brings up an interesting point:  Filemaker's "Layout Mode" is 
anything *but* intuitive.  Another of my recommendations to most users is 
to simply export the fields that you would have placed in the layout to a 
merge file, and create your letters in your word processor.  Remember, the 
goal is to get the letter out and then get to the next item on your 
ever-growing to-do list.  As with most things related to ebase, there is 
definitely more than one way to get there!
