That's because they're *way* over to the right. One simple way to get them
close to where you want them is to use the "Size" box in layout mode. If
you're running FM5, select View and make sure that Object Size is
checked. The size will be displayed in one of three units: px (pixels), in
(inches) or cm (centimeters). Clicking on the units will toggle through
the three. Set it to inches.
The two measurements at the bottom of the size box show the width and
height of the selected object. Click once on the text box to select it,
double-click in the width measurement, change the width to 5 inches, hit
the tab key to register your change then click on some white space to get
out of the size box. You should now see all four handles and can use them
to manipulate the text box.
