Go to layout mode, select the layout you want to add to the menu from the rolodex, select the menu item Layouts>Layout Setup, and check the box "Include in Layouts Menu". In layout mode, I selected "Outputs" from the menu from rolodex (it didnt have just "envelopes" as an option) then after selecting Layouts>Layout setup, I did click on "envelopes" from the Output screen. It added "envelopes" to the rolodex, but back in browse mode, when I click on it, it just takes me to the Output screen. Is this what I have to settle for or is there a way to go directly to the envelope, bypassing Output screen? thank you very much! And thanks for the word of caution, not that I understand it well. A word of caution: I don't see any problem using envelopes in this way, but some layouts include summary fields which require records to be sorted in a particular way, or a particular found set. These layouts are usually accessed through scripts which have the search and sort criteria embedded in them.
