Hi Tompkins,
We've had success using PCAnywhere 9.2 on Win 98 so our remote workers can access our
ebase 1.0 running on FMPro 4.1. The remote user is usually able to log on
pretty easily and use ebase without having to worry about having FM installed on their
PC. Downsides: Only one user at a time and no one here can use this PC
while they're logged in. We're now preparing to get Win2k Server w/ Terminal Services
and FMPro Server so multiple remote users can log in simultaneously. I
plan to post the details of this solution to the list once we get it up and running.
HTH,
Tom
