Thanks for the help about the find and replace.  I have some follow up questions that 
pertain to my database (only about 2800 records).

I see the potential pitfalls ahead of me with this replace... because Joe & Elise 
Smith were entered into the database as Jose & Elise in the FName field, the
Proper(First Name 1) will yield Joe&elise or Joeelise.

So my next thought is to investigate omitting entries with an '&' symbol in the FName 
field from the replace.  Unfortunately the program(s) don't think a search
for '&' in the FName field is valid.

Any thoughts?
