If the names are in proper case in the fields on the data entry
screen, but print in lower case, it's possible that the layout you
are printing has the field formatted as lower case. However, I note
that above you mention that "some" of the names are printing in lower
case. If some of the names are printing in proper case, then format
on the layout isn't the problem.

The FileMaker Replace command is what you are looking for. In ebase,
call it with the script of that name. This command enables you to
replace the value of a specific field in all the records in the found
set. You can replace it with data, a serial number, or a calculated
result (which is what you want to do here). You'd replace the value
of First Name 1, for example, with Proper(First Name 1), which will
turn joe into Joe. Further, it will replace Joe with Joe, so you
won't damage names entered properly. Caution, though, because it
would turn de Forest into De Forest, and LeMond into Lemond.
