Just a bit of feedback -- source codes are intended to identify communications you have with your constituents and their response. For example, you generate a source code for an invitation to an auction, or a solicitation for auction items. If someone comes to the auction, you post an action item with the source code from the invitation. If someone donates an item to the auction or donates refreshments to the auction, you post a payment with the same source code as the solicitation. The purpose is to track the communications you have with constituents, and their effectiveness. Lumping in-kind payments resulting from many different solicitations in a single source codes reduces the usefulness of the source code function. >----- Original Message ----- >From: "Beth Hynes" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> >To: "TechRocks Support" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> >Sent: Monday, October 01, 2001 11:54 AM >Subject: [support] Re: Suggestions for Handling In Kind Donations > > >> > What is the best way to record non cash or in kind donations? >> > >> >> Figure out how much it was worth and plug that in to a contribution, make >a >> note in the payment memo field as to what it was (computer, volunteer >time, >> T-shirt printing, etc.) and maybe write up a note in the Bio or Data Entry >> tabs if you want to keep using them for the same thing. >> >> >> -- >> Beth Hynes >> Parks & Trails Council of Minnesota >> >> > ------------------ >> > Reminder to each recipient: To change your list account preferences, go >to >> > http://email.sparklist.com/scripts/lyris.pl?enter=support and enter the >email >> > address you used to subscribe to the ebase support list:: >> > [EMAIL PROTECTED] >> > >> > To unsubscribe send a blank email to >[EMAIL PROTECTED] >> > --------------------------------------------------------------------- >> > ebase - Relationship Management for Nonprofits, http://www.ebase.org >> > --------------------------------------------------------------------- >> > >> > >> >> >> ------------------ >> Reminder to each recipient: To change your list account preferences, go to >> http://email.sparklist.com/scripts/lyris.pl?enter=support and enter the >email address you used to subscribe to the ebase support list:: >[EMAIL PROTECTED] >> >> To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] >> --------------------------------------------------------------------- >> ebase - Relationship Management for Nonprofits, http://www.ebase.org >> --------------------------------------------------------------------- >> > > >------------------ >Reminder to each recipient: To change your list account preferences, go to >http://email.sparklist.com/scripts/lyris.pl?enter=support and enter >the email address you used to subscribe to the ebase support list:: >[EMAIL PROTECTED] > >To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] >--------------------------------------------------------------------- > ebase - Relationship Management for Nonprofits, http://www.ebase.org >--------------------------------------------------------------------- -- -- Dave Shaw H4 Consulting tel: 206-954-7526 fax: 206-625-1338 ------------------ Reminder to each recipient: To change your list account preferences, go to http://email.sparklist.com/scripts/lyris.pl?enter=support and enter the email address you used to subscribe to the ebase support list:: [email protected] To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] --------------------------------------------------------------------- ebase - Relationship Management for Nonprofits, http://www.ebase.org ---------------------------------------------------------------------
