To update you all on this ebase problem:

I have now un-installed and reinstalled Filemaker Pro, and still get an
illegal operation error (and crash) when I attempt to delete a record
using the blue delete button. I can delete with no problems if I use
the tool bar, and I have no problems using a copy of ebase on another
computer. Jack Noll worked with me for several hours and we feel
certain the problem is on this particular computer. I have used Norton
Utilities to try to find Windows or disk problems that could be the
culprit, but this has not solved the problem. The only thing I can
think of is to move the program to another pc.
