I think what you are trying to do is export data from the database into word, since word actually does the merge.
You need to do a find and then go to output, click on file export, then you get some options so click on > letter merges, you can skip the contact records, if you want, then its going > to ask you to save it, so make sure you save it somewhere where you can > access it again easily, like in my documents or something like that, oh, and > also, where it says "save as file type" make sure you pick the extension > ".mer" or word will have trouble recognizing it. Then you get a box that > says, "Specify field order.." something like that, and you have to pick the > fields that you want to merge, like "Name" and "address". then you click on > export, open word, go to tools, mail merge, where it says, open data, search > for your ebase data that you exported, create the letter, enter the fields, > and "merge".
