The suggestion below from Walt cleared up more than half the problem. Now I only need to enter the password once. Thanks. However, after opening each of the ebase files, it then displays the dialogue box "Your password does not enable you to do this, or this field is not modifiable." It displays this 16 times, requiring one to click "OK" each time before allowing access to the home screen. It does this same thing on the ebase server as well as other computers on the network. The password I'm using has access set on for browsing but not editing records. It doesn't give this prompt if I set "editting" to on for this password.
Thanks for any help. Paul ----------------------------------- I am not a Mac user so things may be different there. Have you set all the files to multiuser mode from the Admin screen? > -----Original Message----- > From: Paul Chubbuck [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] > Sent: Wednesday, October 24, 2001 7:23 PM > To: TechRocks Support > Subject: [support] Multi-user challenges > > > I'm using ebase 1.03 on a Macintosh with FileMaker Pro 5.5. > > I just tried to set up for multi-user access.
