FileMaker Server gurus--
Would you think it feasible/advisable to run FileMaker Server on a
Windows 2000 Server that was also functioning as the primary domain
controller/file/backup server for a small (~15 user) workgroup? Assume
this was an up-to-date machine with at least 256MB RAM a ~1 GHZ P-III and your
basic SCSI hard drive.
Or,
would you want to put FMS on its own Win2K Pro workstation, recognizing that it
would probably not be as beefy of a machine?
We're talking probably no more than 5-6 simultaneous users, and an ebase
1.x data set with under 50,000 records.
Any
thoughts much appreciated.
best,
jon
