>I am new to ebase and trying to determine if it will work with our
organization.
Are there any users on this list who have multi-users accessing their
database online? if so, how is this working for your group?

>We do not have an office but we do have a reasonable computer literate
group -- we would like to be able to access and update the data base from
our home pc's.

Ebase is a sophisticated application that goes well beyond things that are
easy to do from a web based application. Version 2 may be better adapted to
some web use. Because of the way that FileMaker accesses data, it is not
suited to sharing the data from a server over the internet unless you have
high speed lines. There are other approaches that work for some people. You
can use a program like PC Anywhere to manipulate a remote database but that
requires a dedicated machine per remote user or only one person at a time.
You can also use MS Terminal Server and possibly the Citrix additions (for
Macs) to remotely serve the data to multiple users.
