My first guess is that you are attempting to open a second set of 
files, located probably on a locked disk (like a cd?) Need to know 
more to make any better guess - how do you "log on"? Do you have a 
shortcut or alias on the desktop? Do you use FileMaker? Do you have a 
network situation, where the files are on a different machine than 
you work at?
