I use ebase in single-user mode. There are 2 users in my office who must be able to access ebase, too, so quite a while ago, I moved ebase from my C drive to a remote drive we all can access. We have had no problems with this arrangment to-date.
Ebase has been customized with Filemaker Pro. I do have a shortcut from the desktop that I use to launch ebase. When it opened as read-only this afternoon, I closed the program and tried opening again via Filemaker - File - Open. Still no luck. There is no CD involved, and I already checked to confirm that I wasn't inadvertantly trying to open my backup files.
