Just wanted to offer a comment LOOSELY related to the recent messages about
the "member level" computations in Ebase.

I have a client that assigns what they call a "membership level" based on
the total of dues, gift membership purchases, and contributions during the
current fiscal year. This represents a somewhat different value than what
is represented in either of the Ebase "member level" fields (NAMES or
PAYMENT), and also differs from the Ebase "donor level" field presented
with NAMES. I've now constructed a customized computation patterned after
the existing Ebase V1 computations for "donor level" which correctly totals
the payments that this client totals and then assigns these
"client-specific membership levels". The customized, client-specific
values are displayed in new positions on the same layouts as the standard
Ebase fields, leaving the standard Ebase fields as is...

I wanted to make it known that this can and has been done, just in case
some other group has similar needs which aren't covered by the standard
Ebase "donor level" and "member level" fields...
