I assume you are using the built-in thank you routine in ebase? You need to send the thank you letter from the record that has the $80 contribution (meaning that should be the visible record when you create the thank you letter, or at least it should be among the found set of records you are trying to acknowledge), and that should be a separate payment entry in the payments file. If this is true, you should get the proper amount entered into the letter.
