Walt, I downloaded a new copy of ebase 1.03 from the web page. I discarded the suspected ebase.103 file from my old folder and replaced it with the freshly downloaded ebase.103 file. Ebase then opened normally and network capability was restored. The database is not oviously damaged in anyway, including the most recent information entered by the volunteer. We will use it with caution, however, until virtually certain it's OK. I wouldn't have attempted this without your comments. Thank you. Henry
