On startup one morning, after double clicking "ebase" file in the
ebase folder, instead of the usual home screen interface, the screen
was blank. By double clicking the "names" file, it was possible to
gain access to membership data (including payments) but network
access as guest to this host machine was no longer possible (the host
machine appeared in the "host" window, but the ebase file didn't).
Efforts to set the host machine to multi-user through the Admin
Screen 2 option resulted in an error that the script was no longer
available.

Recent backups are available, but we would rather not loose the input
of a volunteer (who could have inadvertently triggered our problem).
The new information introduced into the database by our volunteer
appears to be intact.

Is there a way of restoring the normal way of opening ebase without
resorting to a backup? can a healthy "ebase" file be substituted for
the file we have now if it is corrupt without disturbing the data
structure of ebase?

Thanks.
