Yes, I should have been more explicit about my setup. I'm using OS X on a G4 tower with 1 G of memory. I'm running Filemaker 5.5 and was using 1.2 with 5.5, so the files had been converted to 5.5 format. There was some information in the digest that I would like to try before asking further questions, so I will post again if that advice doesn't solve the problem. There were no error messages. And I did use the import module, of course. More later!
I have been having trouble getting the proper information to transfer from the older version to the newer. The name and address information seems to transfer OK, but the payment information (the important stuff) doesn't. I don't understand why it isn't possible, with two programs developed by the same people, to make the upgrade as seamless as possible and as automatic as possible, especially considering that I used the fields that were already built into 1.2.
