Most of the files in ebase already have both a created and a modified date and time as well as by who. However these are not all available on layouts. So you need to go into layout mode on the screen where you want them to appear and add them to the layout. The payment file is missing some of the above fields but does have dates like the Posted date which is probably what you want (may not be the same as the date the record was actually modified). Query Screen #1 has the add date field.
