Yeah, it can be picky.
But I thought that had been fixed for year(s) - at least, I didn't
have problems recently.
Can you download a SuSE install CD and try to use their "Boot from
HD" feature?
I have boxes that need that. (Yeah, they're crap).
Can you boot a FreeBSD CDROM?
If the config is not too complicated, it might be a good idea to re-
install from scratch and re-enter the rule-sets.
But you'll see if you can migrate the rules.
