Try this: 

1) Open Command prompt as administrator 
2) type: "netsh ras set tracing * enabled" 
3) try to connect again 
4) netsh ras set tracing * disabled 
5) review and send the logs from c:\Windows\Tracing\ 

Also you could try disabling IPv6 on the Vista client and retry the connection.
