No, it doesn't: as I understand, the embedded kernel has no support for
VGA console/keyboard. Both RELENG_1 and RELENG_1_2 stop emitting to the
VGA console just after the kernel loading. Curiously enough, neither
version send the BTX Loader's output to the serial console: the BIOS is
redirected, the kernel loading is redirected (currently only on
RELENG_1_2), but the BTX Loader isn't. I attached to
http://cvstrac.pfsense.org/tktview?tn=1738 a couple pictures of the VGA
screen taken, with my phone, after the system loads.
To extend what I reported previously, the serial console under RELENG_1
is unusable also on the Soekris (no console hardware). I'll try some
more investigation on the FreeBSD source tomorrow.
