I always install bash..
pkg_add -r bash
/usr/local/bin/bash

That's not going to work, unless you want to do it on pfSense itself.
Better to do it on another box. The stock easyrsa will work fine with
any OS using a bash shell. That's the only modification of the
pfSense-specific script, to work with a non-bash shell.
There's really nothing to it, if you're getting invalid, you're
probably pasting the wrong file into the box. Whitespace shouldn't be
an issue.
